Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold arrives · A rebuilt hinge, a light-up camera bar and the thinnest Pixel fold yet

Google's third-generation foldable is about a millimetre thinner and roughly a tenth lighter than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Google credits it with three times the durability. Both screens now hit 3,600 nits, the camera bar has an LED ring that glows for calls, and Tensor G6 arrives with 16 GB of RAM across every tier. The camera hardware, though, is the same modest trio as the standard Pixel 11. It has been on sale since 20 August 2026, from €1,999, £1,799 and $1,899.

Google has taken the wraps off the Pixel 11 Pro and the larger Pro XL: a new Tensor G6, a 3,600-nit Super Actua LTPO panel and a camera set built on a 48 MP 5× periscope alongside a 50 MP main and a 48 MP autofocus ultra-wide. Video reaches 8K through Video Boost. On sale since 20 August, from €1,199 for the Pro and €1,399 for the Pro XL.

HONOR has built the strangest flagship of the year: a motorised, four-degree-of-freedom titanium gimbal that lifts a 200 MP main camera clear of the body and pans, tilts and rolls it under its own power. Behind it sit a second 200 MP sensor on a periscope, ARRI-developed LogC3 capture, a 7060 mAh silicon-carbon cell and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. China gets it first, from ¥9 999 (≈ €1 280).

The new Galaxy Z Fold8 folds into a short, wide, passport-like phone with a 5.5-inch cover screen, and opens sideways into a wide 7.6-inch 4:3 tablet that finally plays films without thick black bars. At 201 g it is the lightest Galaxy Fold ever, it runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy with a 4,800 mAh battery, and it makes the wide-fold shape properly available worldwide for the first time. Huawei brought the Pura 90s Pro Max and its smaller Pura 90s Pro sibling to the world stage in Kuala Lumpur: the Max leads with a 200 MP 1/1.28-inch telephoto and 100 W wired charging, the Pro with a 50 MP 4× telephoto and 66 W, both on a variable-aperture 50 MP main camera. EMUI 16 still comes without preloaded Google services – but AppGallery now guides their install, so the caveat that really remains is banking apps that insist on Play Integrity.
