HONOR Magic V6 lineup in all four global colors: Ivory White, Ferghana Red, Sunrise Gold and Classic Black

In short

  • Global sales started June 4, 2026 in Malaysia and Singapore; Europe, the Middle East and Africa follow "throughout June".
  • Thinnest big foldable on the market: 8.75 mm folded and 4.0 mm open (Ivory White), at just 219 g.
  • 6,660 mAh silicon-carbon battery — the largest in any globally sold foldable — with 80 W wired and 66 W wireless charging.
  • First foldable with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and the first with both IP68 and IP69 ratings.
  • 16 GB + 512 GB costs RM 7,699 / SGD 2,599; European pricing is not official yet — expect around €2,000.

Finally global, three months after Barcelona

HONOR unveiled the Magic V6 at its MWC event in Barcelona on March 1, 2026, then sold it only in China from March 13. On June 4 the wait ended: the global version launched in Malaysia first, with Singapore right behind (in stores June 12). HONOR says Europe, the Middle East, Africa and more of Asia-Pacific follow throughout June.

The headline is unchanged from the China launch: this is the foldable that beats the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 on the two numbers people actually feel — thickness and battery. And it arrives roughly seven weeks before Samsung is expected to answer with the Galaxy Z Fold8.

Thinner than a regular phone

Folded, the Magic V6 measures 8.75 mm in the Ivory White version (9.0 mm in the other colors) — thinner than many flagship slab phones and noticeably under the Galaxy Z Fold7's 8.9 mm. Open, it is just 4.0 mm thin. White is also the lightest at 219 g; the other colors weigh 224 g.

HONOR backs the thinness with durability claims that read like a spec war of their own: a Super Steel Hinge made of 2,800 MPa steel rated for 500,000 folds (SGS-certified), a NanoCrystal Shield cover glass, and — a first for any foldable — both IP68 and IP69 ratings, so it survives full immersion as well as high-pressure water jets.

The four global colors are Ivory White, Ferghana Red, Sunrise Gold and Classic Black.

Two displays, both bright and both pen-ready

The inner screen is a 7.95-inch LTPO OLED at 2352 × 2172 (403 ppi) with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak of 5,000 nits in HDR highlights. HONOR worked on the two classic foldable complaints: the crease is SGS-certified as "imperceptible" (44% shallower than on the Magic V5) and a low-reflection coating brings reflectivity down to 1.5%.

The 6.52-inch cover display (2420 × 1080, 406 ppi) peaks even higher at 6,000 nits and uses a normal 21:9-ish aspect ratio, so the phone behaves like a regular flagship when closed. Both screens support the HONOR Magic-Pen stylus, sold separately.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and an AI everything

The Magic V6 is the first foldable shipping with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3 nm, Adreno 840), paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage in the global versions.

It runs MagicOS 10 on Android 16, and HONOR has confirmed seven years of OS and security updates for the Magic series in the EU and UK. The software story is heavy on AI: Google Gemini and Gemini Live are built in (with a 3-month Google AI Pro trial), alongside HONOR's own AI agents, call translation, deepfake detection and photo tools.

The most unusual feature is the Apple bridge: HONOR Share connects to iPhone, Mac, AirPods and even Apple Watch — one-tap file transfers at around 60 MB/s, two-way notification sync and dual-screen workflows with a Mac. If you live half in Apple's world, no other Android phone tries this hard.

A 64 MP periscope in an 8.75 mm body

The AI Falcon camera system combines a 50 MP main camera (f/1.6, 1/1.56-inch sensor, OIS), a 64 MP periscope telephoto with 3× optical zoom (f/2.5, OIS, CIPA 6.5-stop stabilization, up to 100× digital) and a 50 MP ultra-wide (f/2.2, 122°, autofocus). Each display has its own 20 MP selfie camera, and the rear system records 4K at 60 fps in 10-bit.

Fitting a periscope of this class into a body this thin is the engineering flex here — early reviews rate the photo quality as very good for a foldable, though video processing still trails the best slab flagships.

The 6,660 mAh battery story

The global Magic V6 carries a 6,660 mAh silicon-carbon battery — about 50% more capacity than the Galaxy Z Fold7 and the largest in any foldable sold worldwide. It is the first foldable with TÜV Rheinland's 24-hour battery certification, and early testing backs it up (Engadget measured over 30 hours of video playback).

One honest caveat: China gets more. Chinese SKUs pack 6,850 mAh, and the 1 TB China model even 7,150 mAh — the global cut is widely attributed to battery shipping regulations. Charging is 80 W wired and 66 W wireless, though check your region's box contents: in some European markets the charger is not included.

Price and availability in Europe

Launch pricing is set for the first two markets:

  • Malaysia: RM 7,699 (16 GB + 512 GB) / RM 8,899 (16 GB + 1 TB), on sale June 11
  • Singapore: SGD 2,599 / SGD 2,899, in stores June 12

Both markets get generous pre-order bundles (in Singapore worth SGD 1,088, including a DJI Osmo Action 6). That works out to roughly 10% more than the Magic V5 cost at launch.

For Europe, HONOR has confirmed availability "throughout June" and its German, French, Spanish and Austrian stores are already in coming-soon mode — France is offering a €300 early-bird coupon to newsletter subscribers. Official euro pricing is still missing; based on the Magic V5 and the Malaysian price, expect around €2,000 for the 512 GB model. A UK launch has not been announced yet.

Verdict

The Magic V6 is the new reference point for big foldables: nobody else combines this thinness, this battery and double water-jet certification in one device that you can actually buy outside China. It is not a revolution over the Magic V5 — it is the same idea executed harder — but until the Galaxy Z Fold8 shows up in late July, HONOR holds the hardware crown without serious argument. If the European price lands near €2,000, the only real questions are how much you value polished software over record-setting hardware, and whether you can wait seven weeks to see Samsung's answer.

Frequently asked questions

When does the HONOR Magic V6 launch in Europe and how much will it cost?

HONOR has confirmed a European rollout "throughout June" 2026 — German, French, Spanish and Austrian online stores are already in coming-soon mode, and France offers a €300 early-bird newsletter coupon. Official euro prices haven't been announced; based on the Malaysian price (RM 7,699) and the Magic V5's launch price, around €2,000 for the 16 GB + 512 GB version is a realistic expectation.

Is the HONOR Magic V6 waterproof?

Yes — it is the first foldable rated both IP68 and IP69. It survives immersion in 1.5 m of fresh water for 30 minutes as well as high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.

Why does the global Magic V6 have a smaller battery than the Chinese version?

Chinese SKUs carry 6,850 mAh (and the 1 TB model 7,150 mAh), while every global version ships with 6,660 mAh. The cut is widely attributed to regulations around shipping high-capacity batteries. Even so, 6,660 mAh remains the largest battery in any foldable sold worldwide.

Does the Magic V6 have Google apps and Gemini?

Yes. The global version ships with full Google services, Gemini and Gemini Live integration, Quick Share, and a 3-month Google AI Pro trial.

How long will the Magic V6 get updates?

HONOR has confirmed seven years of Android OS upgrades and security patches for the Magic series in the EU and UK.

Is the Magic V6 the thinnest foldable in the world?

In the big "book-style" category, yes among phones sold globally: 8.75 mm folded (Ivory White) and 4.0 mm open, versus 8.9 mm for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7. Other colors measure 9.0 mm folded.
